THE WEDDING PLANNER: HOLLYWOOD OR DO I REALLY NEED ONE?

I am passionate about my work and utilize all of my skills and talents to enhance your joy on your important day.  My tailored approach to you individually - your needs, your wishes and your fantasies- help me customize my services so that you are stress-free and your event is seamless!

A range of  service professionals, unique settings, venues of all sizes, styles, and culinary abilities can all be offered to you to choose from with the added advantage of my wedding planner's volume discount. I have developed exclusive relationships with selectively chosen and proven professional providers, with whom I work regularly, and who offer my clients special pricing. I take the time to understand your vision and work within your budget and guidelines to make the proper "shidduch" and guide you through the seemingly daunting maze. The process of building your wedding in Israel will be an exciting and rewarding experience, not an exercise in frustration.

I will assist in bringing you to meet the suppliers, sample their work, taste their food, see their results and recommendations of their performance. Your confidence in me and our choices is key to helping you fully enjoy your special day.

DO I REALLY NEED ANOTHER PERSON IN THE MIX?

Sometimes a cool, level headed, objective professional is just what the doctor ordered when those happy occasions can bring out the worst in a person under stress. I am a people person with professional training and experience having worked as a social worker. I help calm and diffuse situations that can sometimes influence how things get handled and potentially leave a bad memory.

CAN'T MY AUNT SADIE DO WHAT YOU DO? SHE IS VERY COORDINATED!

Do you really want to tax and depend on Aunt Sadie or any of your family and friends to do what I have devoted myself to full time professionally?  There is so much effort and expense put into the pieces of a wedding; the essential "glue" is the day of the event coordination. I work an average of 8-10 hours at each event, fully coordinating the schedule and the service professionals; ensuring the quality control of everything from the service of the staff to the cleanliness of the bathrooms (not to mention adequate air conditioning/ heat and volume control of the music, and lighting); troubleshooting the unexpected blunders that always come up at just the wrong times; and basically providing the behind the scenes "drive" to the affair. Aunt Sadie would be exhausted, trust me!

IF I HIRED THE SERVICE PROFESSIONALS - DON'T THEY JUST KNOW WHAT TO DO?

Yes and No.... they know their job; but the last thing you want to be concerned about before your wedding is answering questions from the photographer, coordinating the designer with the florist, finding the makeup artist for touch ups, and checking details with the caterer and head waiter. I contact all the service professionals before the event to go over their role and how they fit in the schedule.  At the day of the event, I always have extra copies and checklists of just what we expect from them. Nothing is left to chance!

SCHEDULES SEEM SO RIGID: IT'S ISRAEL, CAN'T IT BE LAID BACK?

Coordinating the event professionals might be more laid back if you weren't paying per hour for the hall, band, photographer and videographer.  At the end of the day, if we leave the schedule to being "laid back", you may not, for instance, get the full value out of the band that you hired. When the guests are not leaving the buffet, the Rabbi is MIA, the photographer is waiting for relatives to show up, and the sheva brachot honorees are each taking their time to get to the chupah, all these minutes start adding up.  And the band - the life of the party, will have to cut its music set down so the food can get served.  For this reason, I realistically sculpt the schedule to meet your desires, and guide and implement it so that the event flows without a hitch.

DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS: After we work on the broad strokes and all is decided: venue, caterer, photographer, video, design, florist, music, hairdresser/makeup -- you are all done right?

Not quite. There are so many details that we will discuss and pre-plan so that your simcha will have no last minute surprises. From experience, I have scripted a full checklist to aid you in fine tuning the details of your event so that I can accurately execute your desires. "Gee, I never thought of that" is the usual response!

I DON'T WANT A COOKIE CUTTER WEDDING-- HOW CAN I ACHIEVE THAT "WOW" EFFECT?

I love to turn on my creative juices and to put our heads together to create your unique style or theme. I also work with amazing designers that won't break the bank who can offer interesting props and finishes that materialize your fantasies. And I make a beautiful Hospitality Basket for the ladies room the likes of which Israeli weddings have never seen!

WHEN ARE YOU ACTUALLY AT THE EVENT?

I arrive with the bride to assist her and the bridal party with everything from making sure there are snacks and drinks available (we don't want a dehydrated bride under the chupah!) to having my handy dandy "Mary Poppins" bag of all kinds of emergency supplies and quick fixes available.  I anticipate the needs of the family so that Junior who is sitting around in his suit is provided with a sandwich because everyone was busy getting their hair and makeup done and forgot to feed him lunch!

I supervise and discretely pace and coordinate the event until the last mazel tov is wished and the vendors are all paid.

WHAT ABOUT ALL THOSE OUT OF TOWN GUESTS-- HOW AM I GOING TO HANDLE ALL THEIR NEEDS?!

I work with a number of agents and hospitality specialists to place your guests in short term rentals and hotels, arrange airport pick up, rent them cars, cellphones, provide gift baskets to greet them, along with maps and tour guides.  Your family is my family!

THE SHABBAT KALLAH AND AUFRUF/ SHABBAT CHATAN AND SHEVA BRACHOT ON TOP OF THE WEDDING SEEMS OVERWHELMING!!!

I coordinate catered meals, themed and designed kiddushes/ seudah shlishits, as well as arranging for use of a shul and their simcha rooms. and for your consideration, I have a wonderful selection of interesting restaurants and venues to host your sheva brachot parties.
